Louise Brolly “A Break in Benidorm”

A Brave Mother, shares a Dream

I am writing this on behalf of my mum Louise, As a family we would like to thank everyone who’s involved in Evestrust and to everyone who donates to help them keep being able to grant these magical wishes and dreams for people suffering with cancer just like my mum.

This year my beautiful mum Louise was diagnosed with stage four incurable lung cancer. My mum who’s been a single mum to me (Olivia) and my two younger twin brothers who were only 15 at the time of diagnosis. From the very beginning of her diagnosis my mum made a promise to us and her granddaughter that she will fight this for as long as she can.

After 4 rounds of chemotherapy, 13 sessions of intense radiotherapy and now on immunotherapy we couldn’t be any prouder of her! My mums had such a tough year losing one of the most important people to her, we didn’t think after this she would have the strength to fight the cancer but thankfully mum is one of the strongest and courageous (and most stubborn) people we know and she has given this fight everything she has!

We found out about Evestrust through the chatsfield suite, who oversee mum’s treatment. A wonderful staff member would refer us to them. Mum is very selfless so wanted to do something she knew the boys would enjoy just as much as her! She absolutely loves the show Benidorm and has always wanted to go. Thanks to this amazing charity and her lovely dreams coordinator, my mum’s dream came true. She and the boys flew off for some very much needed time away and a break to make some memories in Benidorm that will last forever!

A message from mum

I cannot thank Evestrust enough and especially Baileigh for what she allowed us to do and the break she gave us. We had a great time in Benidorm and it really was a beautiful place to go and experience. I want to personally thank everyone who has, and who continue, to donate to this charity to help dreams like mine become a reality. I really am so very grateful! To anyone going through cancer that might read this please remain positive! My new life motto is “live your life to the fullest while you can and give cancer the hardest fight back”
