Hall Cross School Charity Event

On Friday 21st November we were invited to Hall Cross School to watch a charity netball game in aid of Eve Merton Dreams Trust.

The game was organized by members of their Sixth Form Council, and the game was played by their girls netball team against their boys rugby team.

It was a cold day and the children had given up their lunchtime for the event, but there was a fantastic buzz in the air. The game was a roaring success and each one of them represented themselves and their school brilliantly.

The boys tried their hardest, but ultimately the girls won the game 5 -1.

They had each been sponsored to take part and during the game, the Sixth Form Council donned Eve’s Trust T-shirts and went around asking for donations and selling charity wristbands.

With this excellent charity event they raised a massive £304.31 for Eves Trust, and within minutes of the game ending, the boys challenged the girls to a game of tag rugby for their next fundraising event!
