A race night was organized by Denaby main football club in honour of Curtis Allen who had recently signed with them. But during his 1st game had taken Ill and was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic Leukaemia a few days later.
Friends and family rallied round to organize a raffle to be drawn on the night.
The whole community came together and donated prizes from local people; businesses small and large. An Irish Dance troupe entertained the crowd in the intervals between races along with a disco.
Curtis chose 2 charitys to donate to, one being EvesTrust as he had recently recieved a dream and wanted to give something back, to help someone else have this opportunity and appreciate it like he did. He proudly presented the Cheque of £505 to Sarah Maye.
Curtis would like to raise more money in the near future when he is well enough.
We hope someone will enjoy a dream from this donation as much as Curtis did.
