“A Dream Break Needed”
The mental and physical impacts of Cancer can just build and build, sometimes you just need a break away to recharge and relax. This is Darrens story:
“Hi, my name is Darren. I was diagnosed with bowel cancer 3 years ago. After major surgery to remove the tumour, I was left with a stoma and the knowledge the cancer had spread to my liver and lungs, so I have been on chemo ever since. Around 3 months ago I was also diagnosed with leukaemia to top everything off. Obviously, it is a struggle, but I like to stay positive.
I was approached by one of the nurses in the Chatsfield suite at DRI, asking if I had heard of Evestrust, which I hadn’t. She explained a bit about them and sent my details to them, and I was contacted by them within a week! Id spoken about a short break in a log cabin and was sent lots of different places and dates to choose from.
I chose the one in Pickering and the lady named Baileigh-Jade who was my dreams coordinator booked everything literally the same day! I couldn’t believe how fast and easy the whole process was.
We arrived and the place was beautiful, the staff very helpful and the log cabin was amazing and spotless. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short break, it put a smile on my face for the whole weekend.
I can’t thank Evestrust and especially Baileigh enough it was truly a dream for me! Thank you again, you are making dreams for people in need of something to take their mind off this horrible disease, if only for a short time and I must thank you again! I really hope you can carry on and make more people as happy as I was! I have so much respect for all involved with Evestrust.
