It was an honour to us to be able to assist such an amazing family, please read the story of their dream, written by somebody who can explain it better than we ever could:
My sister in law Sarah was diagnosed with a WHO grade 3 Pleomorphic Xanthoastrocytoma Brain Tumour which is not cureable. She has undergone various treatments and surgeries because of this.
Her daughter Kayleigh was due to be married in June 2016 but had to make the decision of bringing her wedding forward to 24th Oct 2015 so her mum would be well enough to attend and see her get married.
Sarah is a beautiful person inside and out and I love her dearly. No matter what she has gone through, how poorly she feels , or how totally exhausted she is this lady always has a smile on her face and leads her life always putting others before herself. She is one of the most selfless individuals I have ever met and am honoured to call her my family.
Knowing Sarah’s personality she would have given every last piece of energy she had to ensure that everyone else was ok and happy on this very special day. I knew that Sarah would look beautiful on the day of her daughters wedding regardless but I wanted something more for her. I wanted her to look in the mirror on that day and feel like a million dollars but because of the specialist care she would need around her head and face I didn’t know who to turn to.
I mentioned my dream for Sarah to a friend and she told me all about Eve Mertons Trust so I sent off my application to them but never expected to really hear anything back because the wedding was now less than 3 weeks away and it was such short notice.
Within days of sending my application I received a call from Clynton on behalf on Eves Trust to inform me that my dream for Sarah was about to come true. Eves trust really did go above and beyond in making Sarah look like ten million dollars never mind one.
The day before the wedding Sarah and her daughter Kayleigh were given a lovely pampering session . Then on the morning of the wedding hairdressers and a makeup artist arrived at Sarah’s home, all trained in the specialist care that she required. They made her look how she had wanted to look. Eves Trust also surprised Sarah with a beautiful mother of the bride outfit that she had chosen. She looked absolutely beautiful.
Hand in hand both bride and mother stepped out that day looking radiant.
Sarah has done so much for others and because of your help we were able to give her something in return. Sarah, her family and myself would like to say a huge thank you to Eve Mertons Trust for making my/her dream come true and in particular Clynton.
