At Evestrust, we believe in the power of dreams, and when we received Laura’s story, it touched our hearts deeply. Laura’s journey has been one of tremendous strength, resilience, and love for her family. We are honoured to have played a small part in making her dream come true and providing much-needed family time during a challenging chapter of her life.
In July 2021, Laura’s life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The road ahead was daunting, filled with seven rounds of chemotherapy, a mastectomy, lymph node clearance, radiotherapy, and additional surgeries to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes. Throughout this gruelling journey, Laura’s young children, aged 7, 5, and 3 at the time, showed remarkable resilience and strength, reminding her of the incredible blessings she holds as their devoted mother.
At Evestrust, we understand the significance of quality family time, especially during moments of adversity. When Laura’s dream of a weekend away with her children arose, we were determined to make it a reality. With the thoughtful arrangements by our dedicated team member, Clynton, we treated Laura and her children to Santa’s sleepover at Alton Towers – a magical experience they would cherish forever.
The joy on the children’s faces as they enjoyed thrilling rides, played crazy golf, and splashed at splash landings filled our hearts with happiness. Laura and her children stayed in a delightful little lodge where they created beautiful memories and found comfort in treats that were lovingly provided.
We are delighted to share that Laura’s journey has a happy ending – she is now cancer-free and bravely awaiting reconstruction. We celebrate her strength and determination in overcoming the challenges she faced, and we stand beside her in her continued journey towards healing and restoration.
Laura’s words of gratitude resonate deeply within us, and we understand the weight of empathy for those who may be facing similar battles. We are committed to making dreams come true for as many people as we can, offering support and hope during their difficult times.
