Louise Lynch “A Much Needed Break”

Dealing with cancer is a strain on the body mind and soul. This is Louise’s story

“Hi, my name is Louise, and I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer a week after my 39th birthday.
I rang the doctors, more because my husband pushed me to do it, but I just thought my symptoms were due to me having a c section and a baby, or a bit of IBS or something. I knew something wasn’t right but never imagined it was anything sinister. Asi you can imagine, we were shocked and devasted at the same time, I’ve got 4 boys!
Once chemo started, I was off work and my husband needed to be off work as well, looking after me and our 4 children, as I wasn’t capable. So not only were we going through hell but financially it left us absolutely ruined as well, it was such a hard time, the worst.

It was my friend who had put us forward to the charity for a dream, I knew nothing about it. We were absolutely overwhelmed. I don’t think we’ve ever needed something as much in our lives. It was the break, not only a break from everything we’ve experienced but it was a break we had dreamed about. A weekend away in a log cabin with a hot tub and views that were so peaceful, exactly what we both needed.

I’m told the process was so easy, my friend Amy made contact, she liaised with one of the charities Dreams Co-ordinators Baileigh and they put some dates together and prepared some options with Laura Daykin independent travel agent. We chose an option, and it was booked….

We will be forever grateful, thank you so much to Evestrust and everyone who does so much for people like us, it really does make a difference and meant the world to us!
A little glimmer of light when we felt lost in the dark x x x”

A big thank you must go to Laura Daykin Independent Travel Agent and the EvesTrust Dreams Coordinator Baileigh-Jade Langham for all their hard work
